The IDEAS hub will be hosting the team from the Augmented Human Lab from the Singapore University of Technology and Design. They will be sharing ways of creating enabling human-computer interfaces as natural extensions of our body, mind and behaviour.
In this participatory design session, participants will brainstorm and take part in several co-design activities. The focus will be on training the participants to look at problems in a creative way. They will learn how to apply design thinking approach (discover, define, develop and deliver) to explore innovative ways of using technology to support new learning experiences.
This means you get to try out some of their cool innovations!
The session will be led by Prof Suranga who has won many awards including young inventor under 35 (TR35 award) in the Asia Pacific region by MIT TechReview, Outstanding Young Persons of Sri Lanka (TOYP), and INK Fellowship 2016.

Join us for a morning to help celebrate the work of multiple organisations that support and nurture young makers in Singapore.
Co-organised by the IDEAS Hub UWCSEA, Intel Singapore and the Science Centre Singapore, the Young Makers Summit will showcase organisations and groups of young makers who are using technology to create innovative solutions to many of the issues facing the world today.
Associate Prof Lim Tit Meng (CEO, Singapore Science Centre) will speak about the “Singapore Maker Extravaganza”. Roz Hudnell (President, Intel Foundation), will speak about the Intel’s Innovation Generation programme and share more about their “Make Tomorrow” program for young makers.
The final part of the event will be an opportunity to visit multiple student groups showcasing their projects. The students include groups from NUS, NTU, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, SUTD and UWCSEA.

The IDEAS Hub will be hosting the Creative Coding SG Meet Up
this Thursday. The group tries to bring people interested in the creative, artistic, beautiful, sometimes crazy side of coding together.
They will be screening a new documentary called CLOUDS. CLOUDS is about creativity and code — an interactive conversation with 40 different artists, hackers, and thinkers who are revolutionizing art and design on the internet.
